HEALTH CLUB

The Health Club was established in the year 2010, in collaboration with Hope Initiative and La Martiniere Girls’ Alumni Association. This club is one of its kind in India and definitely proved to be a boon to the students of the college.
The main aim of the club is to develop health consciousness in the students.

The Health Club of La Martiniere Girls’ College, in collaboration with Hope Initiative and La Martiniere Girls' Alumni Association, Lucknow hosted ATARAXIS – 2011 on 8th December, 2011 from 9:30am-2pm. 12 schools from across the city participated in this event.
Through this novel activity they endeavoured to enhance the five C’s which are: 1)Competence
2)Confidence
3)Connectivity
4)Coping
5)Control
The children also enjoy a day which promises to let them relive a day from their childhood.In the month of March, the college participated in a quiz on liver malfunctions based on the speeches given by eminent doctors and resource persons organized by the Hope Initiative in S.G.P.G.I.

Every year World Health Day is celebrated on the 7th of April, to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization in 1948.

This year the Health Club of our school along with Hope Initiative had organized a series of activities across the school for classes 1 to 9 on the 4th of April, 2012 to celebrate World Health Day.

The activities were as follows:
Class I       -     Colouring fruits
Class II      -    Colouring and the children had to unscrambled words related to fruits and vegetables
Class III     -    Art Competition-topic “BEAUTY”
Class IV    -     Word Search. The children had to find words based on fun activities.
Class V   -       Collage-Topic “Eat, Drink and be Merry”- House Activity
Class VI    -     Word Search. The children found words based on things we eat.
Class VII   -    Bookmark Making- The children had a quote a positive thought on their book mark.
Class VIII –    Unscramble the Words- Children had to unscramble words to find healthy foods and health related terms.
Class IX    -     Crossword. The children had to solve a crossword based on health related terms.

Winners from all the classes were recognized and given prizes sponsored by Hope
