GANDHI CORNER

gandhi corner

The Gandhi Corner is largely an extension of the values that La Martiniere Girls’ College tries to inculcate in the girls.
Their work with the less fortunate makes the girls realize that the world of today stands overridden by materialism and selfishness. It is a world where sacrifice for others is often considered foolishness, patience as inertness, humility as cowardice, obedience as slavery, honesty as lack of foresight, and respect for law as humility.

The Gandhi Corner and the Health Club of La Martiniere Girls' College, Lucknow, organised an Interschool Quiz/Exhibition/Awareness Programme on 'Skin Facts and Myths', on the 19th and 20th of August, 2011.
Dr. Garima Mehrotra was invited as the chief guest for the programme. She gave a presentation and also had an interactive session on 'Common skin problems faced by teens' with the students of classes 9-12.
The programme was sponsored by La Martiniere Girls' Alumni Association and the prizes were awarded by the Hope initiative.
